90% of people have a positive climate change attitude
We've been conducting surveys of attitudes to climate change before and after our events that we run. These include pub quizzes, presentations, cartoon exhibitions and film showings.
A brief summary of attitudes after the event:
Climate Change Cartoon Exhibition Opening
Carolyn Downs, Chief Executive of Shropshire County Council opend our cartoon exhibition on the 19th April. The room was fit to burst as we had over 70 guests at the reception - from councils, businesses, and community groups from across Shropshire and beyond. Wine was provided by Wroxeter Roman Vineyard - Shrewsbury's own. At only five miles from the gallery, I think this is the lowest CO2 footprint wine we could get, and tasty too!

Drive the Eco Vehicles Top Trumps!
As part of an EU funded project, we created Eco Vehicles Top Trumps game. Now you can test drive some of the cars in the pack.
Eco Vehicles Top Trumps @ Arrive 'N' Drive, Rockingham Raceway, May 8th
We're distributing our Eco Vehicles Top Trumps to fleet managers and transport decision makers at this years Arrive 'N' Drive event.
The Arrive 'N' Drive at Rockingham, taking place on Thursday May 8, is the only event where drivers can touch, feel and test drive the cars that are helping to reduce CO2.
Band member quits on climate change grounds.
How often do we hear celebrities justifying their jetset lifestyles in the name of 'spreading their message'? Refreshingly, the other day the bassist of a Brazilian rock band quit in order to reduce her carbon footprint. Over the years, her band had become more and more popular and with that had come more and more flights across South America and further afield. Enough was enough, the only way she felt to stop it, was to erm, stop it.
One by one, piece by piece we will make a difference.
Stop, switch off your computer.
My 3 year old nephew came round to visit me the other day. When he came in I was working on my lap top at my desk.
"Why are you always working on your little polluter?" he said.
I was going to respond with something like "Because I'm trying to help people understand about climate change" but then I thought I would take him up on his implied advice and shut off the computer and talk and play with him instead.
I think he would agree we got much more achieved that way.
