Light Fantastic Home East Midlands Saves £1m!
Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Residents will save over £1 million on their energy bills in the coming years thanks to two mobile exhibitions. Local charity Marches Energy Agency, in conjunction with the Local Authorities Energy Partnership, have been taking the Fantastic Home, and its predecessor Light Fantastic, to events across the two counties over the last 14 months. The exhibition gives out free energy saving items, such as low energy lightbulbs, showertimers and TV powerdowns, which are donated by utility companies.
A whole new fantastic
We are now developing a new 'Fantastic' exhibition vehicle based upon the hugely sucessful Light Fantastic that has been touring events across the Midlands since May 2008.
We have so far reached over 40,000 visitors and accumulated CO2 and financial savings for the communities by giving away Low energy bulbs and Powerdowns, kindly donated by Eon.

Training session at Market Drayton Swimming Centre
On Monday (16th March) Richard Hammerton went to Market Drayton to deliver a staff training session - one of the distinguishing features of the session was that it was certainly the earliest one he has ever done, beginning at 7am and ending at 8.30!
The purpose of the training session was to provide accessible energy advice to the staff of the Swimming Centre, and also staff from other leisure facilities in North Shropshire, with a focus on behavioural changes and actions which are free or low cost.
